kctarbooch Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Hey, This is my second year doing a light show I try to add a few things every year this next year or in the near future I would like to add a falcon controller and moving head dmx lights as in the picture bellow and I thought I would come to you all for questions. 1. how and can I connect a mp3 g4 showtime director to a falcon controller. 2. how do I connect my lights to the falcon controller. 3. what setup do I need to do in lor s6. and do you guys recommend any decent price higher power lights. I don't believe this is possible. The N4-G4-MP3 Director has 4 outputs that are all LOR or DMX (RS485). The Falcon controller receives E1.31 (or DDP) over an Ethernet connection. The 2 different networks are not even electrically compatible. Since you mentioned the Falcon, I assume you are talking about pixels. The N4-G4-MP3 Director drives a pixel show using Pixie controllers from Light-O-Rama, which use the ELOR protocol. If you are talking about the moving head DMX lights as in the picture, you don't need a Falcon controller (as it is designed mainly for pixels). To control a DMX light from a LOR Director, one of the networks on the director will be configured as DMX output. Then you just use an interface cable, which connects the LOR RJ45 to a XLR connector. The wiring on such an interface cable is very simple, so you can build one yourself. Edited December 1 by Steven
