Tim C Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Hi all, I have a Pixlite 16 v 3.12.0 with a 16 channel tree. I have not put the tree up in 7 years and wanted to this year. I staged it in the garage and I'm glad I did. The computer isn't communicating with the controller. The computer I am using has windows 7 on it since it hasn't been used since I put up the tree. The red status led on the controller board is solid red and the green power led is off. From what I read that it is some sort of power problem. I checked power coming into the board and have 12v coming into the board from each power supply. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tim C Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 That is the name on the mother board. It is an LOR controller, 16 channel
PhilMassey Posted November 25 Posted November 25 The Pixlite 16 is an Advatek board. I seem to remember it was the basis for the Pixcon. So, not a LOR controllers, an E1.31 board i think.
Tim C Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Yes it is an Advatek board but sold to me by LOR. I've never heard of Pixcon.
Don Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I can't say that I recall LOR ever selling an Advatek board. Can you show us a picture of the board?
Tim C Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 It's not letting me attach a pic. It is saying the file is too big
Don Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Do you have Dropbox, Google Drive, or other cloud service? You could link to it that way
k6ccc Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Almost. You need to make the file available to us without logging onto file.io
Tim C Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 I either bought it from LOR or Wowlights.com as an LOR controller. It was a DIY controller, I had to attach all the whips

Don Posted November 25 Posted November 25 That's not something LOR ever sold. You probably got it from WowLights.
Tim C Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Wowlights.com says it's a LOR distributer? I guess I was scammed. Lesson learned.
Don Posted November 25 Posted November 25 WowLights is a LOR Partner. They are allowed to sell products that are not made by LOR. You didn't get scammed. You just purchased something that works with LOR software, but wasn't made by LOR. If something on that board isn't working, you might want to get with WowLights, since based on your messages, they would have been the one to sell it to you.
