Pixie4 quit working

Hi All, I have a brand new pixie4 unit that worked the first time out of the box. Unfortunately the next day pixies are not illuminating and No LED light illuminates on the board, test button won’t light the pixels either. It was also causing 4 other pixie controllers in the chain not to work until I unplugged the CAT cable, tried a new CAT wire and the didn’t help either.

No light probably means No Power (or a blown on board regulator VR3)

But it is the "No other Pixies" bit that raises eyebrows. Was this the First or the Last in the chain?

STAND ALONE checks

First remove (or park on 1 pin) JP2.

Unplug everything except power.  Always have the power OFF while making changes.

Do you get a light? NO- Carefully remove IC2 (it is the 8 pin DIP next to the network jack 

If this allows The LED, the chip failed BAD (and it would account for stoppage of communications)
