jgcorl Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I have a Hinkspix Pro v3 controller that I hooked up to my computer. I've been having troubles getting my snowflake prop to respond in the test lights and preview mode. Yesterday it started working randomly (I changed the IP address from 010.010.010.010 to 10.10.10.10 and I am guessing that did something). The network my controller is 10.10.10.10 and my network log said it kept opening up ports on 8.8.8.8. So after I fixed that, it worked 15 minutes later (randomly). I went ahead and worked on a song and shut my computer down for the night. After I fired my computer up today and started to edit again, my prop will not light again. I have ZERO idea how shutting my computer down would affect anything. I know I have everything programmed correctly for my channels and universes because it was firing correctly last night. Any suggestions?

Since my controller's IP is 10.10.10.10, is this correct? It is confirming that it's opening the proper number of universes. The controller is green on the networks tab, so it is recognizing the controller is in fact connected. I can test lights through my controller interface just fine, but nothing is working when I go to test any lights in the S6 software. It recognizes everything is there, but it won't respond to any prompts. It was working last night, but randomly stopped working today.

Steven Posted November 25 Posted November 25 To a programmer, "010" means "eight". Many programming languages interpret a number with a leading 0 as an octal number. Usually, this convention is not used when converting IP addresses because it confuses the user. It's possible that the LOR software uses a number conversion routine that assumes 0x... means hexadecimal, 0... means octal, and other numbers mean decimal. If so, this was probably overlooked because IP addresses with leading zeros weren't tested.

So I am trying to test my lights through the hardware utility. I try pixels, channels, and props to no avail. It all worked for two days and now it isn't working again. I changed exactly zero in anything with my controller or LOR.
