Philbd Posted November 18 Posted November 18 So my pixie 8 that was being operated in dumb pixel mode is now required to operate in smart mode (pixie tree) I can’t seem to find the correct way of doing this any suggestions appreciated. Phil
TheDucks Posted November 18 Posted November 18 HU There is an Advanced button on the Configuration Screen. Remove the tick (CMB emulation) and save
Philbd Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 On the way to try that thanks ,I tried to do that and HU says this unit does not support advanced config the version is 1.07, advanced config did work at one time when it was set for dumb pixel

I seem to recall I had to update the firmware in some of my pixies to access the advanced features and upgraded lighting options. But I haven't looked at mine for almost a year, so I'm not sure of the latest firmware versions at present. I usually update firmware in my controllers in late January or early February, right after the season to keep them up to date with the latest LOR Software Suite available, even if I'm not using it. That way they're already ready to be used to their full capability when I do upgrade the software. Edited November 19 by Orville
TheDucks Posted November 19 Posted November 19 @Orville 1.07 is the latest, but I did not discover the Emulation setting until I fired up S6 HU. The setting is in the card. My (test) Pixie4 now behaves like a half of a CMB24. 1 LOR ID, Port 1 is Ch 1-3,Port 2 is 4-6... The only dif is there are smart (3 wire) strings attached to the port

The only dif is there are smart (3 wire) strings attached to the port I think I have a Pixie4 set in dumb mode, via HU for 2 of the V1 LOR SINGING TREES I have. But I set that in the prop setting area of the HU in 4.4.16PRO. So, I'm not sure if that would actually be considered dumb mode or not. Trying to just keep up with all this RGB stuff can sure get confusing at times.
Philbd Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 I did do a reset on the controller but it didn’t fix the problem.
