Solid colors on pixel tree time limit?

I have a question about pixels. I currently have 2 mega trees with 8 CCB controllers and 16 pixel strands on each tree. My questions are first: what is the easiest way to just run a solid color, and is there a max time limit for running a solid color?

Are these the early silver box CCB controllers or the new Pixie2?

Modern Pixie have a CMB24 emulation mode. Or you could set the resolution to 1 . As to duty cycle: The power supply and the port fuse are the limiting factors. WHITE is the biggest load (a string of 50 is just doable. Anything more needs to be short bursts) . Everything else is less.   (Pixie fuses are 4A, but you power supply also has limits. 4 ports of white is 16A on my Pixie4)

I believe they are the pixie 2. They are the green boxes.
