Steven Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I noticed this because I have some old RGB floodlights built with 3-channel DMX boards. For testing and debugging purposes, the lights will cycle through the colors if they are powered on with no DMX signal present. I noticed this morning that the lights were cycling through the colors. It appears that my show computer had restarted for some reason, but when the Control Panel started, it didn't start sending a signal. Playing a single sequence fixed the problem. It would be nice if the DMX signal would appear on the network as soon as the Control Panels starts. My current configuration is E1.31 to a PixieLink configured with 2 DMX networks. In previous years I didn't have this issue because my DMX network was from a SanDevices ELOR, which emulates functions of an iDMX1000. When the LOR signal is removed from the SanDevices ELOR, it continues to output a DMX signal. 1
k6ccc Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Sounds like this is a PixieLink issue, not a Control Panel issue. Someone who is more familiar with the PixieLink will have to look into this one.
MattBrown Posted November 20 Posted November 20 The S4 and S5 Control Panel started transmitting E1.31 as soon as they were started, but S6 did not. The next release of S6 will start transmitting at startup, just like S4 and S5. Thanks @Steven for bringing this to our attention.
