Install Error 1326: Getting file security

Hello all,

 

Start off with:

Windows 11 (12 / 24H2) Pro Insider Program:  27729.rs.prerelease 24.1011-1428

Running S6.2.18 .. trying to upgrade to 6.3.6 .. I got an "Error 1326: Getting file security" .. crashed, rolled back to .. something ..
It rolled back to .. I guess 6.2.18, but that crashed with the same error when trying to repair that.  Error 1326 again when trying to uninstall all LOR Sx app.  
Going to have to use Revo Uninstaller to remove all LOR footprints and try again.

Anyone else an Insider Program user, did you get this installing an upgrade?

 

***  UPDATE ***

I used Revo Uninstaller, removed ALL traces of LOR, got 6.3.6 installed ok now.

Thanks Jim, I've been in that group for ... well, quite a while, and XP, Seven, Ten and Twelve also .. been in the Insider Program for .. also, quite a while. S6 previously worked fine with Win11Pro, Canary, Dev releases .. tested them all. It was only after a Win11 Prerelease update done that morning that this glitched. Revo removed all the LOR entries, got 6.3.6 reinstalled, and working. So, thanks for the group rec.

What I wanted to find with the OP was if anyone else has had similar errors.
