PVC pipe candy canes

I bought another controller last summer and I want to add large to small PVC pipe candy canes. I would like to just do two color sequences (red and white). I also just want to wrap them with lED light strings. It would end up using two plugs per candy cane. Has anyone done this and does anyone see issues with doing this? Thanks, Bill

AC strings? I did a Barber pole (R,W, B on 3" white drain pipe). The hardest part is (keeping) spacing. 🙁

Spacing can be an issue if they are not tightly packed. Also, I did a spiral tree as a big candy cane and the cool white looked much better than warm white with the red.
