Two controllers - Same channel

Is it possible to run two controllers on the same channel, to mirror the lights on two sides of a pathway?

Several ways to do it depending on what you want to do.  If you have two controllers that want to have the same sequencing (at all times), both controllers can be numbered the same.  If you just want a couple channels to be the same on two different controllers (but the rest of the channels in those two controllers are different), the easiest way to do it is to sequence one set of channels and then copy the entire sequence for those channels and paste into the other channels.

Just to simplify this further.  You have 8 lights on each side of a pathway, total of 16 lights, you have 2 controllers (CTB16PC) as Unit ID #1(left side of path) and Unit ID #2(right side of path).

Channels 1 through 8 on Unit ID #1 has been sequenced to control each left side path light.

Now to mirror the path lights to do the exact same for the right side path lights, select rows 1-8 from unit ID #1 in that sequence and copy all 8 of those channels into channels 1-8 on Controller ID #2 in the same sequence for the right side path lights, now both sides will do the exact same sequence of lighting events.

This way channels 9-16 on Unit ID #1 can be used for other props, allowing channels 9-16 in Unit ID #2 to be used for additional props, or could be used to mirror the Unit ID #1 Controller if you're using the same exact copies of props on both controllers.

It's actually better(and recommended) doing it this way than giving both controllers the same ID #, as that can cause some major headaches when troubleshooting lighting issues or controller issues.  It also can get confusing when updating FirmWare and even testing a sequence.

That's why it's always recommended to use different unit ID #'s instead of using the same exact unit ID # for multiple controllers.
