stevehoyt Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Good Morning I am firing up my pixel display again using FPP and a color bright card. Last year I ran FPP version 6.3. My SSD card died over the summer and I need to rebuild it. FPP Version 6 ran fine, but since I am rebuilding it I thought I would ask you all what is the latest version that you have tested? Is there any advantage of using FPP ver 8.2? Thanks
rick gurnee Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Steve, I also am running 8.2. The big advantage to 8.2 is you can use time codes. They are a little tricky to set up but once they are set up, all of the performance issues I had were resolved. LOR has a write-up on it https://www1.lightorama.com/downloads/6.3.6/help/time-code-sync.htm Basically, you export your sequence to an FSEQ file and upload that file to FPP. The when LOR wants to play that sequence it just sends a command to FPP to play the sequence at the same time LOR is playing for all of your other props. There's a lot more details than that. I can help you if you decide to go that way.
