Connecting singing faces to Pixie8D??

Chuckystuff

Recommended Posts

Hello, I just purchased and received the 4 singing trees bundle with the Pixie 8D. It includes everything needed to plug in however, I am unclear on the actual connections. Each (face) singing tree has two pixel extensions cables labeled 1 and 2. The Pixie 8D has 8 pixel  output extensions labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Please help me. I would appreciate it. I am currently using a single CTB16PCG3 controller and have upgraded to VS 6.3.0 Advanced Level. I have 13 Sequences with the Singing Faces ready to go but need some help. Thanks

Singing trees bundled with a Pixie 8??? Usually each has a Pixie2

LOR Sequences expect a Fixed ID: Set the controller to 30  <<

Each tree uses 2 ports 1-2,3-4,5-6,78

Another thing you need to know: Are the trees 4 Mouth or 10 Mouth movements. The FW needs to be proper if you want 10 (AND YOU CAN'T MIX on a controller)

If you buy the package with all four, it does come with a Pixie 8.

The instructions on where things are connected can be found on that page as well. Also, refence the PDF linked with the text "Read more about set up instructions for your face by clicking here." for information on the JP5 pin and mouth movements.

The Pixie8 has 8 Numbered Pigtails > The Controller needs to be set to Unit ID30

Elden Tree - Plug #1 goes to Pigtail #1 > Plug 2 goto Pigtail 2

Felix plug 1 goto pigtail 3 > Felix plug 2 goto pigtail 4

Ralphie plug 1 goto pigtail 5 > ralphie plug 2 goto pigtail 6

Zuzu plug 1 goto pigtail 7 > Zuzu plug 2 goto pigtail 8

Also note, since you are getting in to pixels you will need to upgrade to a pro license if you want to use ELOR and motion effects. Probably should have purchased the level upgrade as that would have also given you the software upgrade. Contact LOR as they may help save you some money instead of purchasing two upgrades.
