Issue Adding Default Motion Effect Rows to Custom Prop

Hello fellow holiday illumination enthusiasts.

I'm running into an issue with modifying and/or adding default motion effect rows for an imported / custom prop.
The prop is from Gilbert Engineering - GE Flake I Yai Yai

It's a large prop, with default grid size of 870 x 996.

I've scaled down using the "shrink... 50%" tool, until I receive the notification "unable to shrink because the lights are too close"
Final grid size is 435 x 498

When trying to create or edit default motion rows for the prop, I receive the red message "enlarge window to edit custom subsection" but have not yet found a way to enlarge the window to a point where I can make edits.

Any ideas ??

Hi again,

Replying to my own thread, as I think that I found a work around...

Using multiple monitors, and having one located below the other in windows display settings, allowed me to expand the motion row editor enough that I was able to add/edit the prop.
It's a bit clunky, but it worked.
This portion of the software could use some UI improvements IMO.

With a prop of this size, selecting pixels is an exercise in mouse precision... delightfully tedious.

Maybe this helps someone in the future.

Cheers!

I have made a request on the wish list for a zoom tool to allow a person to zoom in and out of sections so the Pixel dots are bigger on the screen. In addition I also asked for a selection tool that you could use to select a section of the prop and aluminate or erase the pixel dots that are selected at once, At minimum the zoom tool is defiantly needed for large pixel count props for sure.

Do you mean the zoom slider that has been part of the LOR software since at least S5?

Hi Jim. Not the Zoom tool on the preview design screen. I'm requesting a Zoom tool inside the prop definition under the DEFAULT MOTION ROWS TAB. When adding a custom Motion Effect Row, the window that comes up has a pattern of dots on the right that Matches the pixels on the prop. The larger the prop size the smaller the dots become. these tiny dots make it very difficult to click on them when editing. The zoom tool would make the creating Custom ME on large pixel count props easier. This very preventwhen making Custom Motion Effects rows inside of Groups. In the next couple of days, I'll put a video together to show the issues.

OK.  I have never had a reason to use custom prop design so had not seen that.

Here is a video I just made that addresses the Issue discussed here. There are 2 things that could enhance using the custom ME rows editing. 1, a zoom tool and 2. a select tool that would allow you to select sections of the prop to Highlight or erase. I am new to OBS screen capture and for some reason I was only able to get sound out the left side.
