pdusaitis
Hello, I've been using moving lights in S6 for a few years now. I would like to know if there is a way in S6 to make my moving lights stay at the home position between sequences. Home position is half of tilt and some proportion of pan. Right now I sequence and move all the movers to 0,0 pan / tilt levels, but they are slow to get there ( a few seconds) and slow to restore to the right focus point on the next sequence. Is anyone using "keep lights on between sequences" in some way to do this where I won't thrash the servos in between sequences in a show list? Any other suggestions on what to try? Thanks. Jeremiah Ackermann
Creating a cleanup sequence may work for you. It’s a sequence that runs after each sequence in your playlist.
Steven
In the control panel, you must edit your show and un-check the "Turn used lights off at the end of each sequence" box. This will have the side effect of doing exactly what it says it does, but that's okay as long as your sequences play properly. For instance, I have that box un-checked in my show, and every sequence starts and ends with the lights at the same levels. This gives a "continuous" feel to the show, without the noticeable dark between each sequence. After you set up your show that way, you need to edit every sequence to make sure the channels controlling your light position are set to the same value at the start and end of each sequence. If you want the lights pointing a different way at the end of the show, then the last sequence in the "Shutdown" section of the show should set the channels to the "park" position. It should also fade all your lights off, and also hove the "Turn used lights off at the end of each sequence" un-checked.

I'm also loading large sequences files and using movies for the media clip which really bogs down the player.
