scodavis
Tonight I was working on sequencing one of the songs for my 2024 Christmas show. I got into a "zone" and, despite the fact that I typically manually save, for some reason I worked for about an hour and a half and never did. My computer, which is super stable, froze and rebooted. I lost a ton of work. After walking off my anger, I went into the Sequencer preferences and was shocked - there is no option to have the program AutoSave every x minutes (I would personally choose "5" myself). Considering the relative size of some shows, and the complexity of creating new effects, I don't understand why this isn't a feature, especially when products like Microsoft Office have had it for nearly 20 years and the Google suite of applications saves the document every couple of seconds.
Don
I don't have an answer for your question. I will say that over 20 years it's just become second nature to CTRL+S quite often. Bonus, with the 'Save Copy' setting you can have copies saved by yyyymmdd-hhmmss format.
