Does any one have a sample sequence on this big flood?  Mainly to simulate some lightning strobe.  Does it have to route thru DMX ? or can it be run thru LOR

                                   thanks Doug

It has a LOR controller built in so it can operate on a LOR  RS 485 network or, by changing a jumper, as a DMX fixture.

I seen that but it has 5 channels with 1, 4, 5  I think 2 or 3 does nothing I guess  figuring out the 4 and 5 for strobing or making it look like lightning

The controller board is the same they use for the RGB 50w floods so ch1-Red or UV, ch2-Green, ch3-blue, ch4-strobe on time, ch4-strobe off time.

The lightening would be easier and look more natural if you just program in some lightening flashes. Strobes just don't look like natural lightening.

Programmed lightening on my floods:

oh great thanks but how is it when doing that 50 watt uv light  I guess I will have to keep experimenting  My other 10 watt floods work great

LOR 10W are DUMB RGB (must connect to CMB24)

the 50 W (either type) are Smart and connect to the LOR (RS485) Network

yes they do but this is a sample on what i should be doingflood.thumb.jpg.5892cd6ea03a220aa8c8a4c6a340c52f.jpg

Funny calling the 50w floods smart as they are really only 3 channels or one pixel. 😁

True, but you have to use a Smart controller

AND

You can daisy chain 100? of them

The “Strobe on time” channel selects the amount of
time the flood head is turned on while strobing. This
on time varies from 8.33ms to 83.3ms. Higher
intensities result in a longer flash.

The “Strobe off time” channel selects the amount of
time the flood head is off while strobing. This off
time varies from 2 seconds to 8.33ms. Higher
intensities result in a faster flash.

Setting the “Strobe off time” channel to 1% intensity
is a special case. This puts the flood head in strobe
mode but does not allow it to flash. Using this
feature allows the RGB/UV channel(s) and strobe
on time channel to be set without an uncontrolled
flash occurring.

This can be useful to create realistic
lightning by varying the “strobe off time” channel
from 1% intensity to 2% intensity and back to 1%
intensity to get a single flash.

Remember to set the “strobe off time” to 1% at least
1/20th of a second before manipulating the other
flood control channels to avoid an unwanted flash.
