Just purchased a replacement CCR tree(light o Rama 2009 ) to a new Ccr tree from Holiday coral. I am running version 4.3.14. The new system uses DMX I have dongle‘s rs485. What do I need to integrate the DMX with my current system using my RS 485 dongles?

If anyone knows what I need to purchase and where I could buy it from, that would be appreciated.

Since it is a HolidayCoro tree then that means you are using a Alphapix controller or similar, You will have to use an E1.31 network as they will not work on LOR RS485 network. You will also need a computer to run the show as a Director will not run E1.31. You will also need an LOR Advanced licence or higher to run E1.31.

NO. for all the reasons @Mr. P said.  That is a great device, but it still needs a computer with ETHERNET (the E in E1.31)

Directors do not do ETHERNET

BESIDES You have a STANDARD license???

I’m thinking to replace DMX controller with a pixie 16 from Light O-Rama.

I believe that would be the easiest way to do it, and not use the DMX controller

Looks like the new CCR trees from Light O-Rama. Use the pixie 16.

Do you think I will have any issues doing it that way?

K.I.S.S. I assume the strings are 12V? (The Pixie will work on 5V, so no worry. That would be a board swap, with a bit of file to fit 😛, the PSU should be fine )
