How to run Lightorama on Mac via Parallels

In what is a massive game changer for me, I discovered a way to run LOR wirelessly on my Mac.  It does involve Parallels for Mac and a copy of Windows 7 Pro though.  Using the instructions here, create a COM port using the USB485 to ELL.  Once that's configured, login to the Windows image and verify the COM port in the Device Manager.  Then, open the LOR software and verify your software is set to the correct COM port and connect.

I'm sure at some point LOR will run natively in the MAC OS, but until then, this is a nice workaround.

Don't hold your breath.

I have a low-end 3-year-old Windows tower is my garage to play my show. I do sequencing on several computers, included Parallels Windows 10 on an iMac, an ASUS Windows 10 Home, and a Dell tower at a different location. When each sequence is finished, it is copied to DropBox, and from there to the garage computer.

Also note that your solution as written (Windows 7) will not work for S6.  S6 requires at least Windows 10.  Knowing almost nothing about Parallels, I would assume that you can run Win 10 under Parallels however..

And I agree with Steven, I would not expect to see LOR run directly under MacOS.
