Show schedule

Euro92

It will play if you have not changed the filename. It will need to recreate the playback files the first time it plays which may take a minute or so.

Or run the Sequence Compressor on the revised file prior to running the show..

If the show is already running when you make a change to the file, you would need to disable the schedule, and the re enable it after saving your changes. I would not do this if there are people watching the display because they might think it is over and leave.

That is not correct - at least up through S5 (what the OP is running).  If the show file changes while that file is being played, the show player will detect that the file changed and will restart the show at the end of the current sequence.  This is a "feature" that is used by MIIP for basic operation.

Apologies. I am running 4.4.16. Thanks

S3, S4, and S5 all behave the same way if the show file is changed.  Here is an extract from my player log from this morning.  I am running BobO's MIIP program which allows viewers to change the order of your songs.  The part of this that controls the show does this by rewriting the show file shortly before each sequence ends.  Overnight, I run two alternating sequences that are each 30 seconds long (and viewers can request any sequence in the show all night long).  You can see that 22 seconds after each sequence ends, the player detects that the show's contents have changed.  That causes the show to enter shutdown mode and the when the sequence ends eight seconds later the show ends and restarts.

This is from 5.6.10, but the earlier versions are the same way.  S6 behaves different and so far, MIIP does not work with S6.  That means that all of us that use MIIP had to either stay with S5 or downgrade to S5 for this season.
