BobW
Last year I made this request in the S5 Software Suite Forum. The situation is the same in S6, so I'm repeating my request: Is there a way to make the previews in the Playback Window brighter? My sequences are built at 30 - 50% intensity. When viewed in the Playback Window, they are hard to see. It would be nice if the Brightness slider controlled the appearance of the lights and not the background image. MattBrown
Maybe we had this discussion last year. If we did, I apologize... If you use dimming curves in Prop Definition, those *are* ignored when displaying the Playback Window. So if you had the dimming curves for your props set at say 50%, then the Playback Window would be twice as bright. This would also require adjusting the brightness on those props in each of your sequences.
BobW
Thanks Matt. I've gone through my sequences and made the setting change. Playback window now looks better. Now I have to get my controller and some lights and make sure that end works like I want it to. Bob W

I configured 1 with PixelCurve and the other PixelCurve30%. They look equally bright in the playback window. I created a show to an SD card and played it using my Gen3 Mini Director. There was only a very slight difference in intensity between the 2 arches. The documentation is not real clear on the subject of Dimming Curves. My assumption (hope) is that a dimming curve xx% is the same as setting the intensity to xx% in the sequencer. The above test says that is an incorrect assumption. What am I missing? Is there something else I have to do to make it work? Thanks, BobW

There is very little difference in LEDs between 100% and 30%

But then, it's hard to see in the playback window, which was the point of the original post. Matt suggested using pixel curves instead.
