BamaFlum
Two years ago I bought a 1602 unit that has worked flawlessly. I wanted to expand my show and bought two PC units. I hooked everything up and connected the phone line from the 1602 unit into the 1st PC unit. Another phone line from the 1st PC unit to the 2nd one. When I run the utility, I'm only showing one unit (the 1602) and my utility controls everything, not just the channels from the 1602. HELP! cmoore60
Did you set IDs in the new PC controllers?Chuck
BamaFlum
I tried using the utility to set new ID's, but keep getting an error message.
BamaFlum
Okay, I had a brainstorm (or maybe a mild breeze). Since these are new units, do I have to plug them in separately and assign them a unit number separate, and then daisy chain them together to have the utility recognize each one? mlindell
Yes, As new units you need to connect directly to each one. Then set your unit ID. After that you can daisy chain. Hope this helps.
crazyred
Yes. You have to hook them up separately so the computer knows which unit you are trying to set up.~Bill
BamaFlum
Yep, that was it. I went to bed and started fresh. I powered down all the units, powered them up separately and plugged in the Cat5 cable individually, assigned their Unit numbers, and powered them back down. Then I plugged them all up, daisy chained them together, powered everything up, and BINGO! it worked!!!! Thanks for the help.
