rtrip9
Not sure if you have started a known issue page yet like the beta had. So here is one thing I would like to see fixed, hopefully pretty quick. Not sure why it's happening either. Background: I have 15 songs I use in my show. To control flow of traffic I build 3 shows that split thw 15 songs up. All 3 shows have the same opening and closing song and the main songs of the year with 2 random songs from the remaining 11. The problem In the scheduler when adding songs if you add 2 of the same songs you can't move the second song around. It only moves the 1st song above it and locks the 2nd at the current location. Only solution I have found: Only way I have found around this is to add the song right where you want it then continue after that. But if you want to edit the show you have to remove all songs after that spot and re add them again. Can you please look into this issue. In all previous releases I didn't have this issue. rtrip9
Also. If anyone knows how I can create 3 seperate shows and get them to play after each other in series, please let me know. I've tried this but is says a show is already playing on the date and times. So you can't tell it there are multiple shows for the same date and time. rtrip9
Something to think about and look into adding later on, would be to add a folder window in the scheduler so all we have to do is select and add without having to open the folder window every time. Added opening and shutdown sequences (one to each). The the main show, added one song, then my "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas" sequence, and then three more songs. Added a second instance of "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas", and lastly, one more song. Merry Christmas was in the #2 and #6 positions. Select #6, and the up and down arrows actually more #2. There is another workaround that you did not mention. You can move the other songs around. So for example, if in my previous example with Merry Christmas in #2 & #6, if I select the #5 song and move it down one position, that will result in Merry Christmas moving up to the #5 position. Much easier than deleting and re-adding the sequences below it. 3 hours ago, rtrip9 said: Also. So you can't tell it there are multiple shows for the same date and time. I do this every night of the year without problems. I'm going to guess that you have some date specific shows in the schedule. First of all, let me describe my year round landscaping situation. I have an evening show and an overnight show (neither have dates entered so they run every night). The evening show runs till 2200 during the week and 2300 on the weekend. The overnight show starts as soon as the evening show ends and runs till the sun comes up. Note, there was a bug in 6.0.10 that required a 1 minute gap between the two, but that was fixed in 6.0.12 and also worked fine last night in 6.1.0 without the 1 minute gap. There are also some date restricted shows for the minor holidays. If I make any change to the schedule for either the evening or overnight show, I will get the Schedule Conflict pop-up. This was a test change I just made to my Overnight show, and and got just one conflict because my 4th of July show runs all evening until midnight and would conflict with the overnight show for a week. Just as in S5 and prior where "calendar" schedules will preempt "Weekly" schedules, a date specific show will preempt a no dates listed (in other words, every night) show. I don't know how S6 handles two date specific shows at the same date, time, and day of week. http://www.newburghlights.org/images/Schedule_conflict.png

In fact, conflicting schedules can be useful. You can have a standard schedule for the entire month. A more specific schedule for one week in that month. And then schedules for individual days. All of these schedules can have conflicting times. The schedule with the narrowest date range will be used in conflicts like this. I was creating schedules last night and got the schedule conflict message. In my case, I was trying to create a schedule without conflicts. So I was puzzled at first when I got the message. However, in reviewing the schedule I had created so far, I realized that I had mixed up AM and PM on a couple of entries, so the message was accurate and a good warning. You can add multiple sequences at once by using Ctrl-Click and Shift-Click when selecting the files. So there shouldn't be much need to repeatedly add from the same folder.
