Will old sequences written 5 years ago not work in the latest Sequencing Editor?

I used a version of Sequencing Editor 3 or 4 years ago, and haven't done much since. I'm trying to use the latest version Basic Plus, 5.6.8 and I'm getting errors trying to preview old sequences. I'm trying to read where to make adjustments, but I just can't figure it out. I'd appreciate a bit of help. Thanks!

You did not state what version you are coming from (although your profile shows 5.1.4).  If you really are on 5.1.4, there should be almost no issues with moving to the latest S6 beta version or the latest production version (5.6.8 as of the time I am typing this).  If your preview has changed, you may have to tweek a little to read the old files a little to get the channels to line up correctly, but that is about it.  If you are running an S4 or older version, there is a fairly substantial change in operational concept.
