PhilMassey
It used to be possible to keep the show player log window open by itself on the desktop. With S6 if the CP is minimized, the log minimizes. The taskbar preview shows two separate windows but clicking on either of them restores both. It would be nice to keep the CP minimized while allowing just the log to be restored and placed anywhere on a multi monitor setup.

Steven
In Windows API terminology, the Player Log window seems to be "owned" by the main CP window. This means it can never be behind (covered by) the CP window. As you found, it also means that is minimized with the CP window. "Owned" windows are typically used for things like "Open File" dialogs. It's not really appropriate for log windows, which should be independent.
Jeremiah Ackermann
Thanks for the feedback. In the next release, the log windows will no longer be owned to allow minimize/maximize apart from the main control panel window.
