Anyone near Atlanta want a TON of outdoor Christmas stuff? I just want it gone. open to any offers

Hey all.  For several years I was really into LOR and my display.  Life has changed and I no longer have a desire to do this hobby, it's time for me to "retire".  I'm going to focus on decorating the inside of my home and just put a few lights on bushes outside.  My garage is FULL of outdoor Christmas stuff and I need it all gone right away, or it will hit a local dumpster.  Anyone want to make an offer on what I have?  I would very much prefer it all be taken as a lot and you can part it out, sell it, do as you wish.  I would like some kind of money for it, as there is who knows how much invested, but I'll take pennies on the dollar.  Much of it is unopened stuff from WalMart...I was that guy who raided every store within 50 miles and bought everything when it went 50 or 75% off.  Here's what I have...off the top of my head.

3 LOR 16 channel controllers.  One has a blown circuit, so it only has 15 channels.  Other two work fine

RGB controller, never assembled and never used.  I was going to get into RGB and bought a basic control box but never got further than that.  I don't even remember what kind it is anymore, sorry.

A ton of extension cords.  I'm going to keep a few for household use, but I've got a ton of 6', 10', and a bunch of SPT made cords in lengths from 10' to probably 40'.  It's a couple of crates full.

Lights.  Oh good grief, I don't even know how many.  Mostly all LED minis at this point.  Multi, red, green, pink, blue, white.  Many are still in the original WalMart boxes.  I'd guess it's 20,000 lights or so, maybe more?

Odds and ends such as stakes, light timers, etc...

Frankly my garage closet it overwhelmed with the stuff and I just need to get it out.  I'm taking down the indoor stuff and this my first year in this new house.  No basement.  I have nowhere to put the indoor stuff, so the lights et al have to go.  I live in Dallas GA, about 30 miles NW of Atlanta.

Let me know if you're interested.  First come, first serve.

Just for the record, stating you're going to dump it into a dumpster isn't conducive for someone to want to offer or pay money, not when you make a statement that you're just going to "toss it in a dumpster".   I'd have left that part out of the equation, since you then go on to state you'd like to get some finds for the items.

Just saying, this is how a lot of folks think when they see statements of someone will just toss their items into the trash.

BTW: if I knew what RGB Controller you have, that I might have been interested in, as my display is mainly all RGB now, so I don't even look at the older incan or LED strands any longer, I just have no need of them now.  And, anything I purchase would require shipping.  Knowing what RGB Controller you have, voltage RGB lights it uses {5V?/12V?}, generation, version and firmware was in it would definitely help to determine a price point for it.

If those pixel controllers are CTB, pixie or pixcon16 pick them up for me and I will pay you. I can come get them some time.  (not kidding)

Like I stated, the OP first states about "tossing it all in a dumpster", then goes on to state THEY WANT TO GET SOME MONEY FOR IT ALL.

So anyone wanting it all for "free" die to that first statement might not get a response if they ARE NOT offering some type of CA$H OFFER for the items.

Just speculation on my part, but I NEVER would have stated it, not in the way they started out this thread, as like I also stated, most folks ARE NOT going to want to pay for, or even make any kind of offer on those items, not when one makes a statement, such as "My garage is FULL of outdoor Christmas stuff and I need it all gone right away, or it will hit a local dumpster. Then a few sentences later states this: "I would like some kind of money for it, as there is who knows how much invested, but I'll take pennies on the dollar."

I know how most folks think, and they're going to take this on the first statement made, and want to get it all for free.  Can't blame them, since that's how it started out from the OP's own statement.

You sure about that?  I thought you were the one that got all my Halloween decor {lights, numerous blow molds, etc.} and a controller{CTB16PC} about a year or so ago, and all for FREE!

You'd be one of a very few exceptions {IMO}.  Everyone I know, in a personal way, wouldn't even offer anything if they read a statement like that.

If that was an older CCB100 RGB Controller {5V 4 wire dangles to lights} and willing to ship, I probably would have made an offer on that, as that would have been the one and only item I would have been interested in., since I now have more 5V RGB lights than I do CCB100 controllers, all due to that lightning strike I had some months back that took out 3 of them permanently.

Orville , yes I did ,that was a while ago, and I thank you.  I think there are a lot of us in the hobby that work on a shoestring budget, so if someone is TRASHING useable goods, we, as I said, we would be all over it.  GA is way to far for us to travel with the country in the state it's in and this kind of listing hasn't happened down here, south Florida is the jumping off place.   Plus I have been slowed by heart surgery and Job loss, thank you MR. Pandemic! I barley get out of my own drive way . So for the last two years plus my display has been the best social security could buy. About 75% of my display is used , from thrift stores ,the forum and other sources.   This is surely a hobby for those with a lush budget.  Add to that I just turned 72 and starting to feel it.  So yes ,if there is some one TRASHING stuff count me in.

Wow, sorry to hear that David, abiut the job loss and heart issues, being disabled myself, I don't have to worry about job loss, but I do have heart issues as well as a host of other medical problems, some days I can't even get out of the bed to do anything!   So I know how you feel.  I just hit 65 in November, but with the medical issues I have, I swear I feel more like I might be close to 1,000 years old at times. LOL   As my old pal Dr. Smith {Jonathan Harris} from Lost in Space would say, "Oh the pain, the pain."

But I agree, if someone's gonna just trash something, yep, if it's something I'd like I'd be all over it too, but like you said, those are few and far between here in both your area and mine, and my not being able to drive or have transportation, really kills that aspect for me if something would come up.

When I was able to drive, and had my own transportation, I'd travel to get "freebies", but like you, just too much for me now, even if I could drive, it'd still be too much for me.

Good luck and best wishes on your health.
