Several 1602W problems, any ideas

Hi, back again. Got various problems with some 1602Ws (green board) pulled out of storage this year. Looking for any advice to fix them. In no particulary order:

Controller A: Channels 2 and 3 are "stuck" together - i.e. turning on channel 3 will bring up both of them. Also randomly flashes other channels from time to time.

Controller B: Channels 15 and 16 are "stuck" on around 50% and will not go off. Have tried flashing firmware, resetting ID to 00 and back. Bad triac? Solder in a new one? As an aside, we have a couple of controllers that have gotten channel 15 stuck on. Any reason to suspect other than coincidence?

Controller C: Fuse in right side was blown. Replaced it with a new one, unit seems to work, except the LED is off most (but not all) of the time. Have not identified any pattern for when it decides to light up. As stated, controller otherwise seems to work just fine. Should I go ahead and use it?

Controller D: Will not connect to network at all, and will not pass signal through to the rest of the network. LED just blinks. Have tried resetting with ID 00, no effect.

Would appreciate ideas related to any of these. They are all original version CTB16D boards. Boards A, B, and D were purchased in 2004, and C purchased in 2005 if my recordkeeping is accurate. Thanks.

Jeff, it is not clear to me from the posting whether or not you are trying to test everything at once or that you have them all connected. If you have not done this already, I would break down the problem into simple steps. Try connecting each controller separately and see which ones work. Then add each controller one at a time. Let's see which controllers work when only one is connected.

Jeff,

A. Have you tried doing a reset on this controller? Check for fraid wires between channel 2 and 3 on the terminal strip.

B. Do channels 15 and 16 go to full when you command them to? Do they operate independently otherwise for other commands. It is my experience that when I have had a blown triac that they will not go full off but all other functions do seem to work. So I believe you have blown triacs on B.

C. Responds to commands from the HWU? Might try a board reset, then possibly a firmware load to see if the heartbeat LED functions properly.

D. I would take a guess and say that it is possible that this unit has a bad comm chip. If you feel you have the ability you could swap the U1 chip from this board into a known working board. That is if you have a known working board to try.

Sorry I should stated more clearly. I am testing these each individually, and they are not connected to each other when testing. I am testing each one from laptop -> controller in question -> 2nd controller known to be good.
