Ctb16pcg3. V3.01 board issue

Power on both sides of board and fuses r OK. Green led lights up on board. Lights flicker once and go out. Unplug right power cord and plug back in and lights flicker and go out. 
I am guessing the board has gone bad?

if so can I swap a newer controller(16 channel) and go on without updating new software(have 3.9.0 presently) or PC Windows 98. PC dedicated to LOR for no other use.

ID is what counts (same family type of controllers).

So just set the replacement ID the same and move the cords 👍

BUT you might want to try the Full Reset procedure for your model (there is a document at LOR download)

OTOH if you see corrosion or brown parts , just swap it out

W98 (not SE?), Oh boy. (at least Clone your HD and keep it as a ready spare)

That is a 32bit system at best.  (BTW you might update your LOR profile to show what you are running)
