Mini Director - Lights start before Music

Just purchased a mini director to move away from the always running computer.
 

The director works great for some musical sequences, but a few sequences that start quickly, there is a delay between when the lights start and when the music starts.  Lights start first, then music comes on a lag.

The lights and music eventually sync up after a few seconds, but doesn’t look clean.  Did not have this issue when running on the computer and it’s not all sequences, only a few
