Fox lights
In the s5 v5.2.2 Advanced software, I am trying to connect 2 props to one channel in my preview. I am able to edit the preview and modify the Chanel to use the same channel as… but then once I save the preview and play a sequence both of the channels do not appear in my sequence. This is what I’m trying to do, I’m trying to connect “candy canes”, that is on unit 2, circuit 12 to “Charlie Brown tree” that’s on unit 2 circuit 7. I want to rename the channel to say Cb/candy and have it be on unit 2 circuit 7, and I want them both to appear in my preview and blink at the same time. Please let me know if anyone can help, thanks!
k6ccc
Not only do you have to use the "Use same channel as" window, but you must also assign the channel to be the same - it's not automatic. And you can rename the channel to anything that you want. Below is a master Prop and one of it's sub-props (there are several). You can see that in addition to setting the sub prop to use the same channels as the Master Prop (the green oval), I have also set the channel assignment (the orange ovals) to be the same. At the bottom is part of the string summary that shows the Master and all four sub props with the channels assignments the same (the purple box), and the Master Prop assigned for all the sub props (the lime green box). If your browser does not show the image, there is a link directly to it below. http://www.newburghlights.org/images/S5_Master_Prop.png Edited November 23, 2021 by k6ccc
