dmboothe
I have a scene with 3 layered motion effects. I want to add a Smooth Effect from SS as fourth layer, but when I place it in front (i.e. on a lower Sequencer track) the entire matrix is blacked out except for the Smooth Effect. Isn't there a way to allow the other layers in Sequencer to show through the unused parts of the SS effect? I thought I had accomplished this once before, but cannot get it to work now. I am on Light-O-Rama 5.6.6, Pro license. Thanks for any help. dB
MattBrown
You might try opening Add/Modify Motion Effect Rows, then changing the mode to "Blend". See the bottom of this help page for more information: https://www1.lightorama.com/help/motion_effect_rows_dialog.htm In "Overlay" mode, the SuperStar effect has no alpha blending (transparency) information. dmboothe
Thanks for the reply, Matt. Unfortunately, since Blend /Overlay mode applies to all tracks and the entire sequence, it modifies other items that shouldn't be. I have come up with a workaround that works OK, so I'll use that. Thanks, again. dB

I have a scene on a matrix illustrating the line from Twas The Night Before Christmas: "and the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath." The 3 layers of Santa and a background were done in Motion Effects, and I wanted a Shockwave effect in SS on top to make the smoke. Since that didn't work, I found that putting the SS effect behind the Motion Effects tracks happened to look pretty good in this situation. I'm not sure it would have if any of the other elements were different. dB

There are some sequences I've done this in and it worked and others that it hasn't. Not sure as to why..
