Jollylights
Hello everyone. I am new to this, not sure if this is the right forum for the post, but I need help if anyone can advise. I've got 7 GE Color Effects - G-60 Christmas Light Sets. Each set has a control unit. They do not sync consistently when the sets are connected. Here's what I thought about doing: Cut off the controller units on each set. Use a dangle from Wowlights and splice them together to each set. Connect these sets to a Wowlights controller unit. Connect Wowlights controller unit to Light-o-Rama software. Use Light-O-Rama software to design the same 54 patterns that was on the stock GE Color Effects. All 7 sets will be in-sync.My questions doing this: Is there a chip on the Wowlights controller that needs to be compatible with the chip on the GE Christmas light bulb? if so, how do I find out if they are compatible? Is it doable to program on the Light-O-Rama software to create the 54 patterns shown on the GE Christmas light set? Do you guys think there may be roadblocks doing this? Has anyone tried this before? Any easier methods? Thanks.
