Can I use CTB04-PC independently, I have a person that is selling this 4 channel controller only $50.00 and I dont know about much about it, can I use it as a mini show and how many lights I can put on it?

Well you will need some software to program the lights, for $50 I would grab it. What I'm doing this year is using a older mini director to control a spare 16 channel for the rest of the yard props not in the music display.

The CTB04-PC has a 15 Amp capacity so you should stay under 1440watts to be safe @ 80%. All lights are different so: https://www.christmaslightsetc.com/pages/how-many-watts-amps-do-christmas-lights-use.htm

Unless you are using Ancient Incandescent floods or C9s, 15A is hard to hit with modern LED strings or floods(~13W ea)

You need some software to run (or load a simple seq) Basic will do you (unless you get addicted 😛)

Just remember IF your strings have any module besides a simple fused plug, you can NOT dim or switch rapidly (unless it says dimable)

Whatever fits with what you want to LIGHT UP.

OK, the 100 W bulb would have very special uses (where heat and Light are needed)

The nice thing about the 120V controllers is they don't mind long cords to the lights.

Don't invest a ton into it at first. For me the hardware and buying stuff for the display is the fun easy part. Sequencing isn't bad but it takes some time to catch on and set-up is a whole different story, it is a very addicting hobby though.

If I only had 4 channels I would use 2 floods and LOTS (1000 bulb min) of minis for the other 2 channels.
