Lightnewbie
Hi all, I am new to LOR. I have bought a CTB16PC and a mini director with the basic software. My question is do I need a “trigger” for my mini director to play my show if I want my show to be played at certain times in the day?
k6ccc
The mini-director does not have a real time clock. Give it power and it plays. The standard way of dealing with that is a traditional lamp timer that powers the controller that is providing power to the director.
Lightnewbie
Great idea. I feel dumb I didn’t think of that. Thanks.
ebrown1972
I did exactly as Jim stated back in the day when I used a mini director. It worked great.
basis21b
You also have the option to apply power directly to the mini director. I ran my mini director that way for years. The external power supply was on a timer and all of my controllers remained powered. See page 9 of the user guide for how to connect an external power supply (aka wall wart).
