Pixel Ordering in S5

I created an Icicle fixture using S5 with a 3,4,5,4 order for a 48 pixel fixture.

When I view the wiring diagram, it looks correct.  Pixels, 1,2,3,4,5,6.... 47,48 all connected in series they way I expect - and the way they are wired.

But when I look at how they are mapped in the SE, the fixture appears to be mapped UPSIDEDOWN - where columns 3,7,11 are mapped first which corresponds to the #5 pixels.

Then columns 2,3,4 6,7,8, 10, 11, 12 are mapped for the #4 pixels.

I notice you can sort the channels by column etc, but why is the default upside down by row?
