drounds Posted October 9, 2021 Share Posted October 9, 2021 I think I know the answer now but I want to check with the forum. I have a showtime mini director with two 16 channel controllers. I would like to add a cosmic color ribbon to my setup. Am I correct that if I want to add the cosmic color ribbon I need to be able to add a network? So I either have to run the system off a computer or change the mini director to the larger director that has more networks capability. I wanted to make sure I couldn't just daisy change in the cosmic color into the second LOR controller cat 5 port. Thanks for any insight that is given. TheDucks Posted October 9, 2021 Share Posted October 9, 2021 IIRC The mini director has 2 outputs (networks). Put (daisy chain) Both AC controllers on one (Regular, leave at the slower speed). If your controllers are all new (last 7-8 years) then they should all be able to run on the same network/director. If you have very old, Gen 1 16 channel controllers, and are using new CCR's, then you would have to get a N2G4 or N4G4 director. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
