S5 Computer vs Director Problems

Last night while assisting another member setting up a pixie16 I ran in to a problem and as many pixie and other controllers I have configured this is new.

After correcting his network settings this is what happened.

First he had control panel issues, kept going away.

Once he did a complete reboot that rectified itself.

Once  all was straightened out we finally got lights via his computer however he will be using a director.

He used S5 and the director last year on a different laptop.

He created the SD card on his  old laptop using the HUB since the new one does not have an SD card slot.

All settings are correct. 
 

However the director light is solid he has no lights.

He attempted to create a show using the old laptop which is a very old version of S5 , it worked last year but nothing last night.

Preview works, network settings for the pixie controller is correct, sequence good, cables good, control panel good, control lights good (remember he now has lights via laptop), director doesn’t send command to the controller.

His new laptop doesn’t have a card reader/ writer so he is going to pick one up today to see if using one computer SS card to the other is the difference.

My director is dedicated to my remote tune to sign and I have never had a problem or seen this.
