James Hill
Thought I'd update my software. Got the download and started to install. Only got so far when I got a message..."some files that need to be updated are currently in use"...clicked on 'automatically close'....it seemed to close the LORCommListener but the LORTray(Process Id:2196) would not close. Tried 'retry' with no success. I do not know how to shut down the Tray. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Edited April 27, 2021 by James Hill
PhilMassey
I find it safer to manually unload the tray icon before I run the installer. Right click on the tray icon and choose unload. If you are now in some sort of limbo state, you may need to close any lor processes in the task manager. It might be necessary to uninstall lor to clean things up. I should also add that a repair install might also clean things up. Edited April 27, 2021 by PhilMassey
James Hill
Thanks PhilMassey, Don't know how I updated the last time but clicking on unload helped. All good now. Again thanks.
PhilMassey
Usually the installer takes care of the unload if it detects anything running. I prefer to do it myself.
k6ccc
I also ALWAYS unload LOR before any update.
