Playing around with the audio effect in 5.6.

We finally have a good  spectrum EQ effect. I just threw one into a sequence and it looks really good and I haven't even tried to tweak it yet. Goodbye VU wizard.

Thanks to everyone at LOR for the upgrades, Going exploring now.

The new audio effect looks fantastic!.  If you trim the upper frequency down a bit you can easily see the notes move left or right with the pitch of the notes, particularly on a slower song.   Thanks a bunch for this additional effect.  It looks really great on a 150w x 16h matrix using the middle setting for display.

I have it in one song - so far.  And same thing, I dropped the upper end of the frequency range down to about 1,000 Hz.  I am displaying it on my 128w x 48h pixels P10 matrix and my 192w x 64h pixels P5 matrix.  @Brad StuckyI am using the bottom for the baseline, not the middle as you are.

I played with it yesterday a little.

Did you see that some selections in the drop down so not show anything?

I believe it was the lower setting.

I watched the video but it didn’t say how to get desired effects.

I was hoping for more like the old graphic eq’s up and down effects.

No.  I did not see any selections that showed nothing.  What has nothing showing?

That's pretty much what it does.

Jim

What song is that? I don’t need the file but if I have the song in my music folder I can replicate your settings and see if I get similar results.

The video I watched was in the samples folder. Phil pointed me to that. I haven’t seen those videos in S5 totally forgot about them S4.

just opening my eyes this am and will check back in a bit.

Thanks

JR

I don't see a video, JR, There should be a file,  LOR 5.6.0 Motion Effects.loredit in the Sequences\Samples folder.

Open it and let it create its own Preview and play ii. The audio is included. You can open the effects in ME and save them as a favorite if you want.

Here's my video. As you can see I get no results with the settings as Jim has above, the same thing I noticed last night. I do not get any results until about 2:20 in to the video.

Sorry, my brain treated it as a video. Yes it is a sample sequence. I guess the end through my brain off. I get none of the up and down effects as the video I created shows. Mine flows like an ekg. Even with the same settings Jim has above, I get nothing.

My luck continues. LOL
