GWJepsen 0
I have a 1602 blue board and port 7 stays on. I replaced the mosfet ( twice) and neither time did it change the issue. What else might cause this?
TheDucks 206
The OPTO driving it? Have you done the Board RESET?
GWJepsen 0
OPTO? I have done numerous resets. The unit is on my workbench with a single bulb pulled in. No data feed at all.
dibblejr 1,019
Normally this will indicate a bad triac. Are you sure you changed it correctly. Soldering/ Rework/ Reflow. JR
GWJepsen 0
Yes, but i tried a second triac just in case. I ordered the triacs off the internet. BTA16 600Bw

BTA16 600Bw I think if you contact LOR they may send you a Triac. Just open a HD ticket explaining the details. A video is helpful as well. JR
radioguy1007 23
I'll second what Ducks said - opto coupler. Those are the 6 pin IC's that drive the gate of the triacs. I've had some start to "leak", then that turns on the triacs. Your triacs may be good as you have already tried replacing twice - just always being turned on.
