Raspberry Pi

New to this, 2021 will be my first year setting up a show. I will be using the regular LED lights from box stores, and am wanting them to synch with music. I’ll be getting a FM transmitter and will be getting a 16 port LOR to use. Has anyone used, or do they know if you can use, a raspberry pi to run the show so I don’t have to tie up a laptop?

Any and all ideas, recommendations, insight, advice is more than welcome.

thanks

Whatever computer you use to run the show will need to run the LOR software, which means a PC with a full install of Windows. LOR does make standalone  directors which will run the show without a pc

Get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkCentre-Professional-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B075FHNZC8 for less than $200. Put it in your garage (with a UPS), and put in on your home LAN so you can transfer sequences to it. Do your sequencing on your laptop, and transfer the sequences to your mini computer over the network.
