I'm looking at doing a pixle tree this next year. How many pixels are you all using in your tree?

Mine is 26 strings of 100 pixels.

Looking at this as well.  My understanding is that 16 strands of 50 pixels is the most common, and has the most sequences/effects created for it (if you’re into sharing).

That being said, I’m definitely a “bigger is better” kind of guy, so Jim has me thinking about maxing out a controller.  :)

Let you give my history.  When I first built my pixel tree in 2012, the "standard" was 12 strings of 50 pixels.  A few years later, 16 strings became more common.  I knew I wanted increase the number of pixels in mine, but over several years I had not finalized on how many.  in a 2018 rebuild of the tree, I doubled both horizontal and vertical so I went to 24 strings of 100 pixels.  That was a VERY easy conversion for most of the effects in SuperStar.  In two of my sequences, I have  a vertically hanging US flag.  13 stripes goes far better on 13 or 26 strings than it does on 12 or 24 strings, so this year, I added two more strings to bring it to 26 strings of 100 pixels.  In my case, the pixels are vertically spaced 1.33 inches for a lit length of just under 11 feet.  With the star on top, it is 17 feet tall.  There is room under the tree for some future presents.  Sorry, my poor little $20 camera could not handle the bright white of the star in this photo (click the link below if your browser does not imbed the image)...

My pixel tree is new this year, and I went with 16x50.  Like Jim did, I will likely increase mine next year.  I also added an 8x50 matrix above the porch.
