ChrisRumme
i have the basic software that comes with the starter kit. I want to make a new song for this year just dont have the time. was there another software upgrade that helps you and kinda auto sets up the channels and then you can tweak it. I really wanna add the new song that DJ Ashba just cmae out with just dont have time or practice editing the shows. I normally just buy the premade ones from the website. ChrisRumme
if i knew the verbiage i would use it.. just looking for a little help don't want to buy the wrong software. i just remember reading something on the forums awhile back. just looking for a rough start to start tweaking it. I mean my 10 dollar led light strip under my desk can beat to music and change colors. i assume a 150 dollar program might be able to give you a rough start... only reason behind my thought process is that i swore i read something about it on these forums…. I believe what my good friend means by verbiage is , if you see a song you like in the sharing threads some of us ask you to put a specific statement within your request. Obviously being new re all realize you will not know all of the sequencing words. I believe the only way you will find the song you are looking for will be to take time to learn how to sequence and plan it for next year. if you have a started kit you are on the right track. Sounds like your desk had a 'Color Organ' device. You attached an Audio source, it processed the waveform content (frequency band split) , and modulated the outputs (color LEDs) . That is the way I started my decline in (Electronics World July 1964, Fred Bleckman) LOR can't do that (run lights from live Audio). But it does have tools to allow you to code from the beat content of selected music. Nothing happens in real time.
ChrisRumme
i am having hard time trying to type out what i am trying to say. 100% not looking for live action as im playing it.. rough code from the beat of the song once put in the program is more of what i am after. load the song to program. and it will match some of it to the beat in the song... kinda like beat matching that dj software does. only reason i am asking is because the song is so new and out of time this year. i also remember reading about it on the forums years ago. i want to say is was from someone that just got a mega tree and was trying to do some quick programing with it and someone said that the software helps get you started... This is a link to the song i am talking about. I came out only a few weeks ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lntt__dkX0

(Has Tapper, not Beat Wizard of which I can't help you with either 🥺)
Mr. P
If you upgrade to the Basic Plus license then you have access to the Beat Wizard. The Beat Wizard will mark the beat automatically for you unlike the Tapper Wizard where you have to tap it out yourself.
