kzziboy
I'm making a DIY Pixel Tree... What SPACING between the pixels should I use? I'm using my own strips in which I will drill holes to hold them in place. However, I'm not sure of what the best spacing is and what looks best. Thanks! k6ccc
When I first built mine is was 12 strings of 50 pixels with 2.5 inch spacing on each strip for a lit distance of 122.5 inches. When I rebuilt it to 24 strings of 100 pixels with 1.33 inch spacing on each strip for a lit distance of 131.67 inches. This year it was rebuilt again to 26 strings of 100 pixels with 1.33 inch spacing on each strip. In my case it has always been a flat tree with the outer strings spaced at a 72 degree angle. That makes the outer strings line up with the descending sides of the star. The bottom is just under 10 feet across. http://www.newburghlights.org/photos/26_string_tree.png
