lightsonxmas
My show has 9 of the 16 channel boxes and worked fine last year. This year the first 6 boxes send out the proper programming signals, but the signal is completely lost on box 7 and the subsequently daisy-chained boxes 8 & 9 get erroneous signals. The boxes are receiving electrical power (verified). Absolutely no one touched the boxes from Jan 15th 2020 until now, so what is going on? Does a box just go bad all of a sudden? Does a blown fuse cause this type of issue? I've replaced the cat 5 E cable without success. Any thoughts are appreciated. Steve G.
k6ccc
More likely a data problem. Since you swapped cables, visually inspect the RJ-45 connectors on box 7. Mainly you are looking for one or more of the pins that have moved and are crossing another pin.

Don
Also, the problem is *probably* in box 6 or 7. You might try cabling from box 5->9->8->7->6 and see if you still have problems. If you change the routing of the daisy chain, and #6 is messed up, then you might have narrowed it down to #6. If #6 and #7 are messed up, it might be #7.
