cmb 24 unit 02
CTB16PC unit 03
 CTB16PC unit 04

and now the pixie 16
my configuraton is
cmb 24 unit 01

CTB16PC unit 03
  CTB16PC unit 04
until then no problem with the hardware
but since I installed the pixie 16

and only find three units
cmb 24 in 02
ctb16 in 03
cmb 24 in 04
I am missing a ctb 16
I search one by one by unplugging my units
all is well I reconnect the pixie 16 by giving it unit 05
and all work I close the hardware and do a test on a sequence and it works, I close everything, shut down the computer
but as soon as I turn it on again, I lost the hardware configuration
how to keep the configuration for my 5 units
do you have an idea for me

Turn OFF all ID switches on the Pixie  and use the HU to set ID 05 (or higher;. I prefer natural HEX Boundaries so I would use ID 10  (port1. the rest get 11-1F)

or use the chart in the book (near back) to set ID 05 in the switches (1-8)  0000 0101

Turn "OFF" all dip switches and let then in HU set the first unit ID and let the software do the rest.

Do not turn the switches back on. Leave them off and your problem will be solved.

The Pixie16 need 15  unused ID's after its set ID

You have an overlap  with unit 3 (CTB16)

Try doing the HU configuration with only 1 controller attached at a time.

Yes sorry
I reread your answer and I put the dip back on the cmd 24
but my problem is always the same
the dip on the pixie is all deactivated on the map
when I go to the hardware it finds me the pixie, but unites 1
all my sequences are already configured
cmd 24 unit 1
cmd 24 unit 2
ctb 16 unit 3
ctb16 unit 4
without connecting the pixie, all are well, the hardware recognizes the
4 units in the correct order
but as soon as I plug in the pixie, it goes to unit 1
so I change his unit number from 1 to 5
but I only have 3 units left
cmb 24 in 2
ctb 16 in unit 3
ctb 24 in unit 4
more than ctb 16 which is normally in unit 4
this one is no longer presen

bonjour theducks

Hello
when I plug in the units one by one, all work
as long as I don't stop the controllers or the computer
each time I start the computer, I have to go back to the hardware and put everything back in order
it does not keep my configuration
as I put the pixie in unit 5 and I am in pro license
I have no restriction for the number of units normally

The HU doesn’t “keep configurations” it sets the controllers unit IDs and allows you the opportunity to test the controllers.

NP is what sets the networks - per comm port RS485 or in the case of the pixie16- requires a RS485HS (red adapter)

What generations (versions) are your controllers?

What order are you connecting them in?

Are you connecting the AC controller to the pixie? If they are ctb16 gen 1 or 2 they will not comm with the pixie16

If they are G3 they will com with the pixie16

If they are G1 or G2 you will need to add a second network with those two controllers on it.

If so have you changed it out with another controller to test?

0000 0101 to have unit 5
and all works, all my units are well recognized

Wheew! I forgot that some (older?) systems set 0 by setting the switch ON (Pulled the logic down).

Not being able to see the exact system in place makes things more difficult.

In the end you got it running. 👍

The pixies have always been “0” for off and “I” for on.

Except for v1 and 2 without the dip switches.

I know Pixies are, but I  (and many of us) have been setting DIP switches since there WERE DIP Switches (the cheap MFGs use cut link DIPs).  Old habits kick in sometimes.
