Forum change missing some tiny images

Recommended Posts

There was an update a couple of days ago when it happened. I see it in Chrome on Windows and Android. The menu button on the mobile version is also still broken, again in Chrome.

Yeah, those are Font Awesome icons. Something in the upgrade seems to have broken it, but I've got no idea where to look on this platform. Will ask.

I also noticed that when you post in a thread a little star appears next to the thread title. That has disappeared in the update.

Same thing on a normal PC using the latest version of Firefox.  Been this way for quite some time now.

Update

Soon the forums will be forced into https mode, which will bring back the missing icons. Change over will probably happen over the weekend.

Did this change also require any external image files to be https?  I am noticing that it appears that all the hundreds (or likely thousands) of my posts that have image files coming from external servers are no longer showing the image files.

That does not appear to be the case with the first post in this thread.  It is http and seen same as the below.

Bob, I'm not sure what is going on. On my admin account, user account, and as a guest, the icons are back. Visiting the site via http forces over to a https connection.

Are you saying that you still don't see the icons that were there before?

Everything is working normally for me. I see the all the little icons for the last couple weeks after a few weeks of them missing. I can also see images not hosted by this forum.   My last post was addressing k6ccc who I thought was saying the images he posted  were not seen anymore possibly because the host of the image needed to be https.  My reply was meant to say I can see my posted images which are hosted on http server.      I looked around and never saw any post with a missing image.
