nunofernandes
i am running several Pixcon16's this year for various props. i have 2 props (Starburst) each with 450 pixels, each on 3 universes. 1st Universe will be the starburst fire stick with 30 pixels for each of the 5 segments, the 3 nested star will have 300 pixels. they are on opposite ends of the yard (about 50-60ft) what LOR board should i use to run each of the starburst props? i am thinking a Pixcon is over kill because there will be nothing else on it other than the 3 ports being used. do i use a smaller board? or run an extension of the data and ground to the second starburst? sorry if this sounds a bit dumb, its my first year with pixels
k6ccc
If you are doing it in E1.31, you must use the Pixcon 16 (assuming you are wanting to use LOR controllers). The pixie controllers are LOR protocol only. However, if you can run it over a LOR network, you could use the smaller (and quite a bit less expensive) Pixie controllers. BTW, changing a couple props in the S5 Preview Editor from E1.31 to a LOR network would take all of a minute or two. Then open each sequence so the Preview can update, AND SAVE the file, and you would be good to go.
