James sequences the ccr tree faces on SS and he is getting better (more accurate) all the time. Practice, practice, practice, patience and some creativity will go along way with singing faces. You can only do one singer/ part at a time whereas I can do multiple singers (I did  a 36 singer mashup a few years ago) free hand in one sitting. Oh and add time to the list of things needed as well as a good pair of headphones.

James also uses software to separate the lyrics so that SS doesn't add all of the extra background noise and beats.

I sequence mine free hand and nothing beats that for accuracy. As well as it is faster free hand especially on multiple singers. However SS may be faster on a single singer but you lose the accuracy. Cant get close to free hand but for most it is acceptable.

I am contemplating perhaps providing some online tutorial sessions once the boys online school finishes. Just to busy with all that's going on with their school. Or some one on one video sessions of a song a member may want and I can get them started, all would be fee based but not extraordinary. I have done 2 ccr tree sequences with SS but I let James do that since he is much better at SS than I am. I work on normal faces so much that I lost much of what I did with SS.

WOW in ONE SITTING! amazing!

I am going to try to do the "catchy song" from lego movie 2. One good thing about it, is it is repetitive.

hopefully the plant runs good tonight and I can work on it some.

I imagine you use the smallest timing grid. correct?

Yes, 0.05

Use Audacity before your do any sequencing for faces- I can’t say that enough

I can sequence 1-4 a day if I get in a groove and songs are reasonable length.

You gotta watch the “repetitive songs”

They can deceive you sometimes.

Beat changes , a word or more is a tad longer (drawn out) and it will make your entire sequence look bad.

Remember to some mediocre is ok, some people will not notice a problem with faces, they are just in awe over the faces singing.

To others one mistake is enough to throw out the sequence

I think I sent you tips before

I can help but you have to be willing to learn and spend some time with it.

Shoot me your email and I will send you the video I was going to use at the Expo in Vegas had everything went as planned.

I have learned the hard way that copy and paste is only good for small lengths 😁.....

I enjoy sequencing. i was just asking if there was a secret way :D .

btw, My lights (3 NODEs you recommended) will be here wednesday)

Id like that video also if you are okay with it.

I do copy paste as mush as possible even if it is just one word embedded someplace because it may save some time or be a word that is unusual. (Part of the creativity thing that can’t be taught)

I was just cautioning you that sometimes they will throw you off. I did one recently that had absolutely no copy paste. Even though it sounded and looked the same scrubbing through the pasted sequence I found the words were off. Happens quite often.

there are things you have to do to keep maximum face movement. You don’t want two words starting and ending super close together in the same channel.

Think of my Devil Went Down to GA. One of the fastest songs as far as no space between words.

Cool with the lights. Have fun with them. They will add hours of sequencing time per sequence.

Thats the downside of RGB being able to select a color and be happy with it or make others happy.

Flip the coin over that’s the good about getting an RGB sequence, if you don’t like the colors that the donor chose you can change them.

I may offer up an online class for free and use this song for the lesson.

Probably 30 mins worth and your homework for the week would be to finish the song for review.

Would you join in?

Please don’t, I have it covered.

However everyone that wants in will have to purchase the song. I will let you know which version if there are multiples.

One other note- if you want this class and are an S5 user, you must understand how to use S5

Not something I am qualified to teach. I am limited on my S5 knowledge.
