atv Rex
I've loaded the SD card from the hardware utility, tried 2 different cards. When I plug the SD card into the DC-MP3, Status led "P" stays on just fine but "E" goes out.I can make the 1602MP3 work if it is wired to my PC. I can't get it to run from the SD card. What am I not doing right? Rex
Guest wbottomley
Rex... a few things to try.First: reformat the sd card to FAT then try to load a show on it.If that doesn't work....Second: try pressing the reset button.Third: try reloading the firmware again on the director card with it ONLY connected to the pc. Randal Trecha
I have a LOR1602MP3 Show Director. It works with the Lexar 512K SD card that came with the Director, loaded with a show from the Simple Show Director app.I wanted to store shows on other cards and now have two, PNY 4GB premium SDHC, cards. They too were loaded with the same show, both using Simple Show Director. When I plugged in either card, they fail to play, the red "E" light goes out, the green "P" light remains on.I reformatted the cards, FAT. I pressed the reset button. Both failed. My firmware is Ver 4.4. Should I reload the firmware? If so where do I get it? I can't find it on the LOR web site. How do I reload the firmware?R. The Pest
I'm not sure but I did just look at the data sheets and they all say 2gb limit on sd cards? That might be your issue.

Don
I've used 2GB Lexar and 2GB Sandisk with *knock on wood* no issues. None of them had the SDHC marking on them, though.
atv Rex
My understanding is that SD and SDHC are not the same. SDHC will not work on something designed for SD. New SDHC cards do not work in my old camera that calls for SD.

ssorrell
I just got my director last week, tried to load a show on the Lexar card that came with the unit. Using the USB card reader that came from LOR, it never would read when inserted...the computer never recognized a storage device. I used another generic card, was able to get the show loaded, but had problems with the show crapping out in the middle. I just tried another card reader and the Lexar and it worked. So for me, the card reader from LOR was keeping me from being successful. Now I'm running the show to make sure it continues without interruption.
