crewdog89
The attached pics are from one of my controllers that I could not get my hardware utility to recognize this year. I opened the box back up and found a burned electrical smell and some residue. It worked great last year; not sure what happened. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to fix it, or do I need to send it to LOR and have them fix it? I really need this controller. The burned connector is from circuit 12. When I disassembled the circuit board from the box, the back side burn appears to be closest to circuit 13.

TheDucks
1 hour ago, crewdog89 said: Anybody??? What can we say? You had a flash-over/burnt trace to R39. A WAG is that R39 is simply the snubber resistor, not the cause fault. I suspect some large voltage (back EMF was applied to Port 12 . Back EMF is common with Motors, relays, solenoids. Anything with a COIL winding.
butlerlj
If your HU will not recognize the controller than it has other issues besides bad circuits. Does the little green led light? It may have gotten into the power supply. I would send it in.
